Emergency Appeal

To all our supporters and all the parents, babies, children who have had contact with Maddie’s Miracle, this is for you:

Our charity is experiencing an unexpected set back in funding. We are a tiny charity without paid permanent staff. This means we often struggle to find the funding that allows us to provide the skilled infant feeding support that we believe all families deserve. Despite living hand to mouth, we have thrived. Over the last five years our wonderful team of Breastfeeding Counsellors and Lactation Consultants have supported thousands of individuals across the UK: babies, mums, parents and families.

But it’s not always possible to just muddle through. We have rooms rents to pay and passionately believe our Breastfeeding Specialists should be paid for their time, skill and dedication. But we have reached a point where the books just don’t balance. Therefore, the Trustees have made the painful decision to pause all services until the summer and in the meanwhile to focus all our efforts on securing full funding for our groups and online support.

Our online Facebook support group will remain open. Our current goal is to raise annual funding for our Bo’ness (Scotland) group (£10k), our Bournemouth (Dorset) group (£15k) and our online zoom services (£10k) through grants and individual donations.

We are also recruiting new Trustees and volunteers, especially those who can help us with different kinds of fundraising, coordinating services, governance and online admin.
